Our Ministries

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE starts at 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. each Sunday. The services include special programs for children, musical worship led by the Chore and Praise Team, and preaching of God’s Word by Preacher Denis. Other worship events, such as The Lord’s Supper and Baptism are scheduled throughout the year.

SUNDAY SCHOOL starts at 9:30 a.m. and there are classes available for all ages and interests.

THE MUSIC MINISTRY provides opportunities for all ages, kindergarten through adults, to praise our Lord. The choir rehearses on Sundays at 4:30 p.m., and leads worship each Sunday morning. The children’s and youth choirs meet and perform for special programs which are presented throughout the year.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH is available for children age 4 through the fourth grade during the Sunday morning service. A full program of activities including Bible study, discipleship training, music, missions and recreational opportunities make up the ministry.

NURSERY care is available for Sunday morning worship services, Wednesday night activities and special occasions as warranted.

ADULT MINISTRIES

ADULT PRAYER MEETING AND BIBLE STUDY service is held each Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. This service is led by our senior pastor who does an expositional study through various books and characters in The Bible.

THE BROTHERHOOD is a group for men of all ages to Fellowship, worship, study, work and pray together. They meet the third Thursday of each month.

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP is a group for senior adults. There are a variety of outings, trips, and special events; full of fun and fellowship.

WOMAN’S MISSIONARY UNION (WMU) is a way for our Ladies of all ages to be involved with missions. Regular meetings are held on the second Saturday in the month of March, June, September and December.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRIES

CHILDREN’S CHURCH is available for children age 4 through the fourth grade during the Sunday morning service. A full program of activities including Bible study, discipleship training, music, missions and recreational opportunities make up the ministry.

STUDENT MINISTRY is for all youth in grades 6-12. Our students are involved in a variety of ministries and activities. Discipleship Now, Youth Camp, Special Activities, community visitation and missions work are just some of the areas of interest. A great Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening Bible study focuses on the student’s spiritual walk with the Lord. Join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m.

ROYAL AMBASSADORS (RA’S) involves boys from first grade through 5th grade.

GIRLS IN ACTION (GA’S) involves girls from first grade through 5th grade.

MISSION FRIENDS include all children ages 3 through kindergarten.

All groups meet each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. to do mission study of different missionaries and the mission fields, and to do related activities.

MISSIONS

Hickory Grove Baptist Church supports many missions oriented Ministries. We support both local missions and global missions opportunities and Ministries. We actively support the Jamie Chapman offering for State missions, Lottie Moon Christmas offering for International Missions, Annie Armstrong Easter offering, Operation Christmas Child and world hunger.
